Panama has two coastlines- along the Caribbean and along the Pacific. Just off the coasts are a total of more than 1,400 islands. They are truly spectacularly beautiful, with azure-coloured waters and clear sunny skies. Those enjoy water sports such as swimming and sailing will be delighted. Many of these islands are far from "touristy" and are quite secluded. Eco-tourists will enjoy ample opportunity to hike in the jungles that cover some of the islands. However, if you simply enjoy relaxing on the beach with a drink in your hand, you will also enjoy Panama's islands.
